It’s not clear to me why all these exist. When would I prefer one over the other?
They would serve a similar purpose as far as using an alias goes. They only differ slightly in how you would go about setting them up. It would more or less come down to which style you prefer to use/ which feels more intuitive to you. Additionally, a domain or wildcard would allow you to ensure that your aliases would carry over should you decide to leave simple login and use some other email masking service.
